What's this blog about?

Well, we are a bunch of pastor's wives from Minnesota who want to encourage and support other pastor's wives. We meet together on a regular basis for friendship and prayer. Our desire and purpose is to pray for our marriages, families, ministiries, and each other!

Being married to a pastor is filled with amazing blessings and amazing stresses. You are NOT alone! Our prayer is that you find support and feel loved as you travel down the road that God has for YOU!

Wednesday's "Wife Of The Week" - Thoughts and Recipe

This week, we are praying for Andreia of MN. I have asked her a few questions that might help us in our role as a pastor's wife. Andreia will be sharing with us some lessons God has taught her during her years in ministry. I also asked her to share one of her favorite recipes with us. ENJOY!

"Mark and I have been married for 12.5 years. We were both youth directors when we met, and had brought some youth to a leadership camp, which is where we met. We got married in the fall of 1997, and I moved to the Chicago area, where Mark continued serving at his church for 3.5 more years. We moved back to Minnesota in the summer of 2001, and in the fall of 2004 Mark began taking classes at seminary. During this time, we served together as the volunteer youth leaders at our church. When he finished seminary, he took a position at our church as the associate pastor. We both continue to work with the youth, and I am involved in the music ministry as well. We have two boys, ages 7 and 3."

Here is one thing that Andreia has learned from being in ministry:

"Seek out what God is calling you to do; don't say yes to everything just because they ask you (and they will). Even if you are gifted in an area or have done that in the past, that may not be what God is calling you to do right now."

Here is one of Andreia's favorite recipes:

"Brownie mix with Ghiradelli chocolate chips added. You can also use ground flax seed in place of eggs for extra fiber."
