What's this blog about?

Well, we are a bunch of pastor's wives from Minnesota who want to encourage and support other pastor's wives. We meet together on a regular basis for friendship and prayer. Our desire and purpose is to pray for our marriages, families, ministiries, and each other!

Being married to a pastor is filled with amazing blessings and amazing stresses. You are NOT alone! Our prayer is that you find support and feel loved as you travel down the road that God has for YOU!

Retreat - Do you want/NEED to go?

(I just got this wonderful information from Linda.  Space is limited.  So, let me know if you would like to go.  Maybe, we can get a small group together and carpool!  Check your schedules and let's reserve our spot.   -Jenny)

The Psalm One “Sisterhood of the Fishbowl” Pastors’ Wives Soul Care Retreat this year will be at the Shalom House in New London, Wisconsin (near Appleton) October 22-24. Come away with others who understand life in the ministry. Come away for some time in the Word and at Jesus’ feet. Come away for a time of soul care and encouragement. Come away and rest, and laugh, and learn, and be refreshed. Just for one weekend, leave behind the busyness, “to do” lists, worries, responsibilities, kids, husband, noise… We may think we can't afford to take 48 hours away just to be renewed and refreshed and recharged as we head into 2010. But in reality, we can’t afford not to!

Just because I care, I endured a visit to Shalom House last October, rotating between the indoor pool, the hot tub and the Jacuzzi, considering if this location might be good enough for you. I taste tested the homemade food, double chocolate brownies, fresh fruit and other goodies to be sure they were up to snuff. I walked in the Autumn woods and sat on the wrap-around deck to be sure the views were scenic. My conclusion: The food is wonderful, the location is lovely, our hosts are delightful. I think we can suffer through it with the Lord’s help.

We will arrive no later than 6 pm on Friday and head home Sunday by 2:00. Space is limited to 10, so to reserve your spot: Contact me to assure we have a space for you, then fill out the information below and mail your registration with a $75 check (payable to Psalm One) to me at the address below. October may seem a long way away, but we all know how soon it will be here. Ink it in, register now, then you can just relax and look forward to a great getaway.

I hope you’re doing well and enjoying the Lord, your darling husbands, your perfect children, and your supportive churches (or whatever variety you have)!

In His love,
Linda
